In What Way Should We Be Like The Crow?
Crows are like diligent bhikkhus, earnest in their effort. They move through the world with sharp awareness—watchful, cautious, and alert. They go with full self-possession, their senses under control.
And like mendicants, they are committed to sharing whatever they receive—down to the contents of their begging bowl.
The crows say:
“When dining on austerity,
Every bit gets split;
Because that’s how a meal’s enjoyed!”
