The four noble truths are the logical proof necessary to be liberated from suffering. They establish a definition of suffering and where it comes from. It’s knowing the origin and through the abandonment of those conditions that the suffering is extinguished.

Old age sickness and death roll in on all living creatures like an asteroid. It crushes everyone and no caste is spared. It can’t be warred against, out witted, or bought. So the skillful become confident in the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha; because those that conduct themself by the Dhamma in Body, Speech, and Mind are praised here in the present life; and when they die - they can look back happy!
